Tulande Online began with a vision to create a seamless connection between local andinternational vendors and a global audience. Founded in 2018, we set out to redefine how products and services from around the world could be accessed and enjoyed by all. The name *Tulande*, meaning "Let Us Buy" in Oshiwambo, captures the spirit of our mission: to inspire and encourage online shopping for everyone, everywhere.

While our journey started with a dream, we officially opened our virtual doors on September 8, 2022. Since then, Tulande Online has grown into a thriving e-commerce platform that empowers businesses, big and small, to reach new markets and expandtheir horizons. We proudly showcase vendors from countries such as Namibia, South Africa, and Indonesia, providing them with a space to share their unique offerings with the world.

In 2023, we launched our own brand, Tulande, representing our commitment to quality and innovation. With our own store on the platform, we offer a curated selection of products manufactured under the Tulande brand, ranging from fashion to home goods, all designed with our customers in mind. This is a testament to our dedication to bringingunique and high-quality products directly to our shoppers. We believe in the power of connection and sustainability. By bridging the gap between suppliers and buyers, we’re building a community where commerce knows no boundaries while supporting the global push for a more sustainable and equitable future.

History of Tulande Online

After completing her undergraduate degree in International Economics and Tradeat Beihang University in Beijing, China, Kristofine Ekandjo founded Tulande Online with a clear vision for Namibia's economic future. During her studies, she realized that the Namibian economy depended heavily on foreign imports, despite some of these items being produced domestically. Local vendors lacked the capacity to mass produce or the visibility needed to connect with their target markets both within Namibia and internationally. This insight inspired Kristofine to create Tulande Online—a platform designed to amplify the visibility of both domestic and international vendors, enabling them to participate in global trade.

Kristofine’s educational journey continued as she pursued a Master’s Degree in BusinessAdministration from Peking University, focusing on the development of e-commerce in developing countries. Her academic background, combined with her unwavering passion for elevating Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), laid the foundation for the rapid growth of Tulande Online.

Tulande Online has since grown significantly, capturing attention in various industry publications and events. Kristofine has been featured in multiple articles, lauded for her efforts to boost the economy of developing countries through digital trade. As Tulande Online continues to expand, Kristofine’s leadership has been recognized at numerous events, further cementing her role as a key player in Namibia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
